How to use Reudex.

From first launch to your first dream — the whole app in one page.

Install Import Ask & search License

01Install and first launch

Download the DMG and drag Reudex into Applications.

The build is not notarised by Apple yet.

A short guide then asks where your library should live.

02Bring your files in

  1. Drag files onto the window.
  2. Import an archive or a folder.
  3. Free plan adds one file at a time.
  4. Already have files outside the app?

03Tags do the filing

Every file is read on import and tagged automatically.

The left column lists your tags with file counts.

Batch mode renames, merges or deletes tags.

In Settings → Tag weights you decide how much each signal counts.

04Find anything

Type into the search field.

Views and rescan.

Ask in plain language.

05The AI assistant

Open the assistant panel with ⌥⌘I.

Three engines, chosen in Settings.

Semantic search and dreams use local embeddings.

Conversations are saved to disk.

Questions that are not about your files are marked as such.

06Nightly dreams

Reudex generates a dream from your own tags.

No manual trigger: Reudex generates a dream at night.

Free plan: 3 dreams a month.

With a local model installed the dream is actually written by it.

Dreams never enter search results or fact-checking.

07The canvas

The canvas turns your tags into bubbles, marquee streams or cat balloons.

The density slider in Settings controls how many tags appear on the canvas.

The bubble canvas is free; marquee and cat-balloon skins are Pro.

Hidden feature

The screensaver you did not know you had

Go full screen with ⌃⌘F, then hide the panels.

Leave it on a second display while you work on something else.

08Trial and license

Your first 14 days are the full Pro experience.

After the trial comes a short read-only grace period.

To go Pro, buy a key and paste it into Settings → License.

09Your data stays yours

Everything is stored in one folder on your Mac as ordinary files.

Delete the app and the library is still there.
